Stable Posmus is a training and stable trade, founded by Franklin Posmus.
Franklin was born in Amsterdam's De Pijp neighborhood, close to Albert Cuyp. His parents were a brown café. His father went one evening a week with a group of customers riding Bovenkerk. Franklin was playing and it was through these evenings infected with the horse virus. In a mad mood bought the father of Franklin a pony for him, which then as a surprise for Franklin the cafe was brought.
When it became clear that Franklin was going to continue riding and the virus is not transitory, he received in 1983 a horse. With this horse he stood stable at Ulkevan Meeteren in Abcoude. Here began his career in show jumping competition.
Riding through the Kalverhoek, private stables in Sliedrecht and a collaboration with Johan Laseur, he began in 2000 a private house in Castricum. There Castricum were the first steps to put the current company. Due to circumstances he had to leave this property and he ended up at a location in the Westbeemster, where he met Elisabeth Penterman.
Elisabeth was as a young girl inspired by Bianca-book series. Her parents, however, had nothing to do with horses, so that Elisabeth actually on horseback passed a number of years. Then it went very quickly and at thirteen she had her first pony named Charlie Brown. It has some blood, sweat and tears but eventually ran this pony Z-dressage. (Before jumping Elisabeth was clearly not cut out)
Soon Elizabeth rode several ponies in the Z-dressage and has also moved to the horses made. The first horse was Elisabeth Ghostbuster with whom she has had several successes. This horse has Franklin and Elisabeth finally brought together.
In 2005, she and the company in its current form to the Nekkerweg in Middenbeemster started. With thirty stalls, a fantastic outdoor arena and all amenities, this is a great property, where pleasure is experienced in the training and the training of horses.
In April 2006, Anne of Silfhout Stal Posmus to work. Anne takes care of the horses as Franklin and Elisabeth at work and brings the young horses in competition. The three form the daily management of Stable Posmus, often supported by trainees.
